Navigate your way through customers’ minds - the UI/UX way
With the onset of the internet and the fast shift the world is experiencing in terms of going virtual, it is inevitable that the experience one has online is very crucial. Companies more than ever are focusing on creating a holistic user experience for their consumers when they visit their website or make use of their online catalogs. Visual appeal is an important part of how our daily life functions. Our mind is attracted towards a product that has outstanding features. In a world where the brands are coming up with new products and services by the day, it is important to play out an effective product design that stays in people’s minds for a long time.
UI/UX design accounts in digital marketing services and is the science of deciding the fate of a product in relation to its feel, look, user experience, etc. It basically encompasses the design principles and requires the product designers to think on psychological lines. This enables them to decide what elements to incorporate in a design that aligns with the basic principles while also making sure that customer satisfaction is met with.
While the UI/UX design is a term often used collectively, there are differences in the areas they cover that sets them apart. User experience or UX is the journey of a user experience when he goes through a website or a product application. The features that have to be included in a website, what tab opens into the next tab, the flow of a product/application chart, what merges into another, all has to be included as a part of the UX.
UI or the user interface is that part of the design that deals with the look of the product, website, or the application. As said before, visual elements in a design are extremely important and there goes a philosophy behind the same. When a customer is interacting with a brand and its services/ products, he is interacting with the design model that contains the gateway to the world of the brand. It is important that UI and UX are both inextricably linked and align in objectives and goals. The look and feel of the product should always go hand in hand to achieve the best outcomes.
Are there any differences between UI and UX?
Indeed, there are. Though both of them are included within one palette, they share one common ground and their overall functions are different. In the end, a customer is the recipient of all that a product has to offer. It is the UX designer’s responsibility to give them a meaningful and enjoyable experience. The first step to designing a great user experience is to make sure that designer knows the product inside out. The next step would be to define the kind of customers being targeted through the services. A great user experience is designed once it is figured out what a customer wants.
UI design, on the other hand, refers to the interface that will present all the visual elements in front of a user. It is the angle of designing aesthetic elements of a surface that will ring a bell with users. The process to be followed in the UI follows the same path. It is important to understand the target audience and develop aesthetics that will go with the brand, as well as with the customers.
